The Story Of Bobon Couture
My journey started early.
As a kid, I was already customizing go-karts—painting them, modifying them, making them my own. That curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong obsession with design, mechanics, and craftsmanship.
As I got older, that passion grew into restoring Volkswagen Beetles and Karmann Ghias, then pickup trucks. At just 16 years old, I lowered my first truck and built a fully customized suspension using hydraulics—learning firsthand how form, function, and engineering must work together. Around the same time, I dove into high-end automotive sound systems, building concert-level audio setups inside my vehicles.
That mindset—pushing limits, refining details—never left.
Later, I opened a business building custom choppers, with several bikes featured in magazines. Over the years, I’ve customized and restored everything from 1964 Impalas to 2000 Honda Preludes, along with countless trucks and hot rods.
In 2000, I officially founded Bobon Customs, specializing in custom suspensions, interiors, and full restorations. Since then, I’ve worked across the automotive spectrum—from Mazda RX-7s to full-size Chevy pickups—and today my shop focuses primarily on classic GM vehicles, including Chevelles, Camaros, and Corvettes. We fabricate in fiberglass, metal, and composites—whatever the project demands.
Cars, trucks, watches, and shoes have always been my passions.
At some point, I realized those worlds aren’t separate—they share the same DNA: precision, materials, performance, and design. That realization led me to footwear.
I set out to create a shoe inspired by the same principles I apply to high-end luxury automobiles—using the best materials available, engineered comfort, and intentional design. The result is Bobon Couture: footwear built like a machine, finished like a luxury object, and designed to be worn every day.
This isn’t fashion for fashion’s sake.
It’s craftsmanship, evolved.
Driven by Design. Performance, you can wear.
